Learn through video: Laser Resin Welding, Episode 5 - About Absorbent Materials
In the fifth session, I will explain the materials on the side that absorbs laser light and generates heat. The absorbing materials have a significant impact on the quality of the welding.
We will answer the following questions from everyone: ■ I am interested in laser plastic welding and want to learn the basics from scratch. ■ I want to know the precautions, materials, and differences from other methods in laser plastic welding. ■ What is the current status of patents in laser plastic welding and what is the scope of our patents? ■ The absorbent material is black, but does the transparent material have to be colorless or white (non-colored) to be welded? ■ What are the design considerations such as part shape? What is the strength of the welded surface? What about airtightness? Is butt welding like metal welding possible?
